The fighting continues between the goliath online auction site Ebay, and um well, the classified ad giant craigslist. Ebay holds almost one third of craigslist stock. Ebay also has a competing online classified website kijiji. With craigslist getting 65 million monthly users ebay wants to get in on the action. Of course It's my opinion ebay wants to convert classified site users to ebay users because in most transaction they collect fees to sell an item for posting then a final selling fee as well. Okay, competition is good for the consumer. I agree. Although it's supposed to fair competition and apparently one or both of these guys needs a timeout with no milk or cookies. There appears to be a money trail or is it a paper trail. Read the story here!

http://harrisburg.noahslist.com is on the move. Service directory ads run for 365 days. Posting is free and quick sell technology is available for all ads.

There is one thing for sure about this new economy. That's business will find away through the tough times. With new advances in media technology and the way people use them make it difficult for companies to reach prospects. Businesses are struggling to get their message about products and services they provide to the consumer. This past week The Daily News provided subscriptions for book readers like the Nook. The Wall Street Journal is set to do the same. If this is a trend that continues what will it mean for the advertising budgets and the thin bottom line many companies have to negotiate with now? Will it provide more marketing opportunities? We'll have to wait and see. One thing is sure and that's this new economy is a game changer. Stable companies are feeling the ground shaking beneath their foundations. Some are going to crumble while others will manage to rebuild into stronger more nimble competitors. The upside will be the birth of new companies that will grow and prosper. Mainly because they will be able to operate with out the baggage that saddles so many businesses of the past. Such as management structures and business platforms that are obsolete. Advertising needs to be remodeled as well.

We will examine ideas from past marketing and the future of business with the next post.

Consider Harrisburg Noahslist classifieds, Noahslist has job postings from Harrisburg west to Carlisle south to Chambersburg, Gettysburg, York and Hanover and east to Hershey. Check it out at http://harrisburg.noahslist.com If a job seeker was located in Dillsburg PA. all of those area would be a reasonable commute to a new job. Although they would have to buy The Patriot news for Harrisburg, The York Daily Record for York, The Gettysburg Times for Gettysburg, Chambersburg Public Opinion for Chambersburg, Evening Sun for Hanover then browse each classified to locat a job.

Today Central PA can use Noahslist online classifieds and TheBurg News which covers the above areas. It just makes common sense.

Answer is nowhere!

The advertising vehicles we use have changed. 10 years ago you would have used a local news paper like The Patriot News or a radio or television stattion ad to reach your target market. But that’s something you already know. Right? Some of you have probably tried marketing a personal website. Advertised online with google or used social media like facebook, twitter or blogging. All important and still you expect better results. The internet leveled the playing field and to win you need to blanket market prospects. Your buyers are still there. It’s time to rethink how you reach them with your message and how to do that without breaking the bank. One solution that can help is http://Harrisburg.Noahslist.com .

Noahslist provides online exposure without the cost. It’s smart to take advantage of free marketing. Advrtising placed on Harrisburg's Noahslist run from 30 to 90 days depending on the category and have up to 4 photos and a description that’s seo. (search engine optimized) Add to that an interested buyers contact the you directly. Ads can be highlighted to bring faster result for less cost than a typical newspaper ad. You can even include your personal or company website url driving people to more information about you and your services.

Noahslist classifieds isn't plaqued with the negative publicity that's troubling craigslist today. In fact Noahslist doesn't have personals or adult ad categories like craigslist. Most newspapers allow advertising from so called Gentlemans clubs as well. The question is do you want your business ad placed on the same page as that kind of adult content? Most people would not want to be associated. Then why advertise there?

For more information Google the following " States demand for details from craiglist policies on adult content and anti-prostitution."

There's no arguing that Traditional news papers are declining in popularity when it comes to selling things in their classified section. The same reasoning should be held that any advertising in a local paper is more or less obsolete.

So what do you do if you need to advertise a product or service?

The answer is go to do both. Many online classified websites lack recognition or popularity to work well. Traditional newspapers are losing readership. In other words the selling market is due for better services.

On the horizon of new advertising services to keep an eye on is www.noahslist.com . The website is about 6 weeks old and is changing the way classified ad sites will provide localized marketing tools. We are link up and are building a dynamic local classified site in Harrisburg PA. and the surrounding central pennsylvania area. Watch how the classified site develops over the next several months. http://harrisburg.noahslist.com

Combine the national exposure of the online classifieds with a quality community paper and you have a winning combination. In Harrisburg PA Noahslist is combining forces with TheBurg Community News. Growing readership and expanding online presence is the future for online sellers.

It will be interesting to see what other sites like craigslist will do to compete.

Like it or not our landscape in America is changing. Cap and trade will drastically change America as we know it. Some people in Washington think cap and trade will improve our living standards, others believe it will increase the living standards of those with special interest. People like Al Gore stand to make millions from cap and trade. Al Gore has a carbon offset company that will benefit from cap and trade legislation. GE will make billions in profits, plus GE owns a huge media network to sell the American people on the ideas.

(It's a little self serving to promote global warming, isn't it Al Gore. It can also be construde as a conflict of interest using his power and position to promote global warming for personal benefit.)

With that being said, I ask well intentioned people to ask one question of themselves. What proof do you know that global warming does not exist. If you believe global warming is manmade and real, then you should have a long list of facts that says global warming isn't real and it's false. If you cannot provide answers saying global warming does not occur because of burning fossil fuels or because of other manmade carbon then you made a choice to follow snake oil salesmen selling scare tactics. To believe in global warming without using any evidence it's false is not making an educated informed decision by weighing both sides. In other words your being foolish. For proof global warming is a scare tactic and a money grab learn more about it. Learn what you can't learn from Al Gore and the main stream media. Global warming fact or fiction.

…Yes! While the neighbors up the street are paying 7% to sell their home with a conventional real estate company. The internetforsalebyowner.info users are getting better market coverage paying only $49.99. While your Uncle paid a flat fee broker, $1000.00 dollars to sell his home. The www.ifsbo.info users got better exposure for only $49.99. While your boss used a discount broker and only paid half a normal commission and did all the showings ifsbo users paid only $49.99 and still got better results. The internet has changed the way real estate can be marketed. Why then would you pay to 7% for an old antiquated marketing system?
